NAME

updat-mim-database - a program to build the Shared MIM-Info database cache

 

SYNOPSIS

updat-mim-database -h | -v | [ -V | -n ] MIM-DIR

 

DESCRIPTION

updat-mim-database is a program which is responsible for updating the shared mim-info cache according to the system described in the Shared MIM-Info Database specification from the X Desktop Group.

 

OPTIONS

-h

Print out a command summary.

-v

Print out the version information.

-V

Be verbose.

-n

Only update if MIM-DIR/packages/ or a file in that directory is newer than MIM-DIR/version. This is useful for package pr- and pos-installation scripts.

 

ARGUMENTS

MIM-DIR

This is the directory for which updat-mim-database should rebuild the cache. Mandatory if none of the options is provided.
