NAME

pathchk - check whether file names are valid or portable  

SYNOPSIS

pathchk [,OPTION/]... ,NAME/...  

DESCRIPTION

Diagnose invalid or non-portable file names.

check for most POSIX systems

check for empty names and leading "-"
